If your like me and respect musical talent, then electro/dance-pop would be one of the worse genres of music because it takes minimal skill to play. Probably 80% of adults and teenagers could keep people entertained with it. Alternative rock on the other hand takes skill and coordination. You need multiple musicians that work well together and know how to play their specific instrument be it guitar, drums, bass, or something less common and most importantly they have to have someone with a good voice, because they don't cover up their voice with various effects in the studio unlike many current pop "artists"
