What will i do with my braggart classmate?

at the first month of my college i couldn't attend one of my tutorials due to illness.so i was failed.& as i live in quite far from my college, sometimes i am late in the classes though it's rare.by the by i have a braggart classmate who likes to think that she is better than all the girls.but it's not the problem.most of the times she attends all the classes & tutorials.she used to somehow insult me in my schoollife but now it has crossed the limit for the reason stated above.& i can't tolerate it anymore.i don't know why she does so with this simple matter.but the problem is that when i insult her she can't understand or act as if she couldn't understand & keeps continuity of irritating me.so what can i do to get rid of such grotty things?
