Who else thinks 95% of passing English class is being able to bs stuff?

A majority of my current english class is an absolute waste. I understand reading and comprehending because that's enjoyable and it's actually nice to understand some more complicated stuff that you don't learn in kindergarten. My teacher admitted it today, "the only time other than the final that you'll actually use this stuff, is if you become an english teacher."
