Why is my 6 month old so WHINY?

My husband and I is so tired of hearing whining, I am about to start myself. Anyone got a clue of why a 6 month old would whine so much? We feed him plenty, he is formula fed and eats baby food 1 to 2 times a day. Formula just wasn't cutting it anymore. We have tried teething rings, frozen and not, teething gel, tylenol, gas drops, bouncer seat, swing, jumperoo, play mat, his mobile in his crib, and I'm not sure what else. I have tried playing with him constantly even to the point I have take him to the bathroom with me just so he will stop for a minute. Can someone please help me? We are about to lose our minds.
